Frog Ailments

PLEASE NOTE:

There are quite a number of ailments that can befall dart frogs. While these ailments are often seen with other frog species as well, this site is specifically focused on dart frogs.

Some of the possible treatments mentioned here that have worked for dart frogs will be too aggressive for sensitive South American tree frogs such as glass frogs or lemur frogs. Please note that we are NOT veterinarians. We are not responsible nor liable for any treatments you may choose to administer. It goes without saying that having an experienced exotic vet is best.

A quick overview and organization of ailments will find many of them to be preventative with proper diet, tank mate choices, and environment management.
